Mike Ahart joined Omnitracs, LLC as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs in February of this year after spending nearly twenty years in trucking operations, most recently working as an executive for a large private carrier. As Vice President of Transportation he took responsibility for centralizing fleet operations consisting of nearly 6,500 drivers. Starting with safety, he established processes and policies to ensure fleet operations were compliant with regulations and drivers were being coached in the safe operation of commercial motor vehicles. He introduced technologies such as AOBRDs, collision mitigation and onboard digital cameras to support the safety culture that had developed. He serves as Chairman for the TMC's ELD and Connected Vehicle Task Forces.
David Blackwell is the Fleet-Safe Product Manager for Coretex. He has over 15 years of experience in the telematics industry and specializes in ELD and integration for enterprise level fleets. Past projects managed by David include the FMCSA U.S.-Mexico Cross-Border Trucking Pilot Program in 2014 and the development of Coretex ELD in 2017. Prior to coming to Coretex, David was the National Accounts Manager and Integration Coordinator for Teletrac-Navman. David is based out of East Tennessee.
Mr. Camden has 14 years of experience in the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs related to transportation safety and organizational improvement. He specializes in occupational driver safety with an emphasis on evaluating behavioral safety programs to improve driver performance, which includes research on advanced vehicle safety systems, safety culture, driver distraction and fatigue, driver training, and driver impairment. He has been the PI/Co-PI or Project Manager on 24 projects totaling over $3.8 million and has made significant contributions to numerous other projects totaling over $14.6 million. Mr. Camden has over 65 professional presentations and over 35 scientific publications and technical reports.
With over two decades of Silicon Valley experience, Ted is recognized as a leader in building strategic partnerships for technology companies. Before co-founding LifeSaver Mobile in 2013, Ted was VP Strategic Partnerships at YouSendIt, accelerating the business through the growth of its partner ecosystem. Prior to that, Ted was a business development leader at Yahoo!, Netcentives and AOL/Netscape. Ted has a B.S. from The Wharton School and J.D. from U.Penn Law School, and is the co-author of 4 issued US patents.
Ken Evans is the founder of Konexial, the makers of the My20 ELD. The parent company, Konexial, is a technology provider of real-time fleet management and hours-of-service compliance for truck carriers of all sizes. Prior to founding Konexial, Evans spent 25 years managing logistics for F500 companies. He holds a bachelor’s degree in logistics and transportation from the University of Tennessee and an MBA from East Tennessee State University.
Gary launched his career in FL driving for various trucking companies. This led to purchasing his own vehicles and brokering runs from FL to NY. After selling his fleet, Gary returned to beverages in Charlotte NC. Opportunities arose to manage fleets in stationaries, food service and office products. Currently Gary is the Driver Compliance Manager for Aaron’s Inc. Responsible for the DQ and safety of 7500+ drivers in 1200+ locations across the US and Canada. Gary is a Smith System Certified trainer since 2011. Married for 22 years with 5 sons, Gary likes to coach, travel and DJ.
Brian McCoy is the Vice President of Business Development at MiX Telematics North America. His main focus for the past thirteen years at MiX has been to educate and provide driver behavior modification and electronic logging solutions for land transport safety. As a subject matter expert, Brian speaks at many industry trade shows throughout the world, and has become very familiar with the multitude of different driver monitoring devices available. He holds a BA in Finance from The University of North Texas, and an MBA in Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Finance from Southern Methodist University.
A 27 year professional, Jim Perkins currently serves as Marketing Manager North America at Shell Fleet Solutions. He joined Shell in 1992 and has held a broad range of sales, marketing and operational roles in their Retail Fuels, Jiffy Lube and Fleet Solutions businesses. This has given him a broad experience in how deep the safety culture is at Shell. After growing up in Syracuse, New York, Jim earned a Batchelor's Degree n Marketing at Florida State University.
Realizing the need for a disruptive, simplified solution that can engage drivers and make fleets safer, Ananth Rani gathered a team of seasoned SaaS and automotive electronic experts to incorporate Azuga in 2012. As CEO and co-founder of Azuga, Rani created the vision for the company to disrupt the GPS tracking industry with a connected vehicle platform that meets the demands of fleets, commercial insurance companies and government sponsored road usage charging (RUC) programs. He was previously the cofounder of Xora, (acquired by Click Software, now part of Salesforce), a leading player in mobile workforce management.
As Vice President of Risk Services, John will leverage his knowledge and experience in safety strategy, safety culture, risk assessment, and DOT compliance. He joined the team in 2018 with over 20 years of experience working for the Wisconsin State Patrol, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Seidl is a US Army Veteran and earned a Bachelor’s and Masters Degree from the University of Wisconsin. He is married with three children.
As a Senior Product Manager, Sara optimizes Wheels products and services to ensure continued client satisfaction. She also provides support to various departments with her exceptional product knowledge and technical expertise.
Sara has worked in various roles since joining Wheels in 2006 including Driver Services, Client Services, Integration Services, Client Analytics, and Product Management. Her diverse experience has provided Sara with the knowledge and expertise needed in her current Product Management role. Sara holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and French from the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana.
Glenn Williams is Vice President, Product Management for Trimble Transportation's Mobility business. In his role, Williams collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to lead the development and enhancement of Trimble's fleet mobility solutions to improve the safety, efficiency and performance of the fleet customers it serves. An industry veteran with nearly 25 years experience, Williams has held a variety of roles within PeopleNet and now Trimble Transportation, including guiding sales, marketing, sales engineering and business development teams. Williams received his bachelor's degree from Iowa State University.
Phil Moser serves as Associate Director of Global Driver Safety for Syneos Health. Prior to joining Syneos Health, Moser served as Vice President of Advanced Driver Training Services where he assisted numerous organizations with creating robust and successful driver safety initiatives. Moser also worked as a police officer in a suburban Philadelphia police department. Certified in various courts in the field of motor vehicle accident reconstruction, Moser has investigated approximately 3,500 vehicle crashes and has completed numerous driving-related training programs, including Forensic Accident Reconstruction, Advanced Accident Reconstruction, Homicide by Motor Vehicle Prosecution, DWI/DUI Enforcement, and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing. Moser lectures regularly on driver safety issues and has been featured as a driver safety expert on broadcast programs, including Good Day Philadelphia (Fox-29) and CBS affiliate KYW-TV.
