Advanced Driver Assistance Systems – Strategies for Increasing Commercial Vehicle Adoption
Highway crash-related deaths and injuries in the United States have increased dramatically in the last few years, despite the fact that technology is available today that can possibly prevent or mitigate many types of crashes. Advanced driver assistance systems (collision avoidance technologies) have proven life-saving benefits and are increasingly available and affordable. So why aren’t businesses incorporating them at a faster pace into their fleets? The National Transportation Safety Board and the National Safety Councilhave identified the need for a broader discussion on the benefits of these life-saving technologies and their incorporation into commercial (truck and buses) and employer/rental fleets. Highway safety, vehicle technology and other experts from industry, government, advocacy, media, and academia will join this roundtable to discuss the challenges to ADAS adoption among commercial and employer/rental fleets, and identify strategies for wider adoption.

This session is limited to 50 participants (members of audience) on a first-come, first-served basis. Advance RSVP is required to attend this event. Alternatively, attendees can view this discussion via a live web broadcast. RSVP here>>
